From October 5 to 7, Phoenix, Arizona, brought the cell and gene therapy community together at Cell & Gene Meeting on the Mesa, an event built around the questions that appear once a therapy leaves the lab. Subhadeep Das, a Stämm Innovation Fellow, attended on our behalf and brought company material, including brochures and datasheets for the High-Throughput Bioprocessor (HTB) and the Bubble-Free Bioreactor (BFB).
What the meeting covered
The agenda revolved around three fronts: clinical trial design, alternative payment models, and scale-up and supply chain platforms for advanced therapies.
Why it matters to us
In cell therapy, the cost and complexity of culture decide who reaches the patient. Scaling without multiplying manual work or floor space is one of the most cited barriers, and it is the one Stämm goes after: continuous perfusion culture, with no bubbles or impellers, in a benchtop system that runs up to three production units in parallel. In the BFB, adherent cells grow without microcarriers or flask stacks and suspension cells without turbulent agitation.
What we brought
The HTB and the BFB are on sale for research use only (RUO): they are not for diagnostic or clinical use. We designed them with GMP in mind, and that path is on our roadmap. If you are evaluating alternatives for your process, get in touch: info@stamm.bio or buy now.
