Our experience at BiotechX and Festival of Biologics 2024

During October, Martin Palazzo (AI Computational Manager) and Sebastían de Achaval (Business Development) attended two significant events in the life sciences sector: BiotechX and Festival of Biologics 2024, both held in Switzerland. These gatherings not only showcased the latest advancements in life sciences but also reaffirmed the critical role of innovation in our industry.

Biotech X

BiotechX was all about the intersection of data, AI, precision, and innovation for pharma, healthcare, and industry partners.

The event highlighted the use of large Machine Learning models as key methods for mapping complex relationships in multi-modal biological data and the role of big data management systems. We participated in strategic conversations with multiple actors in the ecosystem, focusing on shaping the next generation of AI-bio technologies.

It was enriching to discuss the solutions of Bio AI we are developing with other colleagues. We shared insights about our transomics platform, which uses AI and machine learning for precise biomolecular decision-making. We are committed to bridging the gap between in-silico analysis and wet lab experimentation.

Festival of Biologics 2024

The Festival of Biologics 2024 offered a comprehensive approach to the entire biologics lifecycle, allowing us to engage with expert talks on a wide range of topics, including discovery, development, clinical trials, manufacturing, market access, and fill & finish. It was a great chance to catch up with leaders in the field and discuss the latest insights on what’s new and what’s next.

A prime highlight of the festival was the focus on groundbreaking developments in biologics and cell therapies. It mainly addressed the challenges in logistics and automation, emphasizing how efficient distribution is essential to patient access, while biosimilars are critical to improving drug affordability for human health.

In the discussions we participated in with key industry players, our bioreactor’s flexibility was highlighted as a crucial feature to help solve the current market challenges.
