Stämm at Draper Cygnus Tech Week: Redefining Biomanufacturing

The Draper Cygnus Tech Week brought together top minds in AI and deep tech for a unique space of innovation and opportunity on March 6 at la Usina del Arte in Buenos Aires.

There, we had a deep dive into the technologies shaping the future. Tim & Adam Draper led insightful discussions, creating a platform for startups and founders to connect and scale.

Yuyo Llamazares Vegh, CEO & Founder of Stämm, presented our vision for the future of biomanufacturing, where producing human cells is automated, scalable, and accessible.

He summarized three core innovations powering our Bioprocessor

  • Next-gen 3D printing: precise, high-resolution printing developed in-house.
  • Biocompatible resin: a 3D-printable material that enables cells to breathe and thrive.
  • Automation: hardware, software, and robotics to integrate sensors and minimize human intervention.

With 200+ collaborators, Stämm is delving into the production of monoclonal antibodies and cell therapies, looking to enable local biomanufacturing anywhere. To achieve our goals, we are in expansion mode, building strong industry partnerships in Argentina, Switzerland, and Israel, while actively working to scale in India, the US, and China.

Yuyo also highlighted the role of Generative AI in biology, including our MoNA (Multi-Omic Network Atlas) within transomic platforms. Finally, he noted a shift in biotech from B2B to consumer, citing Ozempic as an example of biotech products gaining direct market traction.

As we continue to scale our vision, events like Draper Cygnus Tech Week reaffirm the importance of cross-sector collaboration and innovation. At Stämm, we’re not just building bioreactors, we’re reshaping how the world produces biologics.
